Very strong chance I won't be able to join tonight. First on scene to serious biker accident this evening, wife was first out to give first aid. Looks very serious. Biker taken away in air ambulance.
Waiting to give statements etc... Even if back not sure wife will appreciate me disaperaing to race

Damn, fully understand you, of course family first. Dont want to switch with your situation.
Cant make it tonight too, still sitting at barbecue in the garden.

Re: RF1 BTCC 2015 - Round 7 Silverstone May 15th
So although I was home in time, needed to be with Mrs last night.
We were on the way to collect son from his school bus at 6:30 when a guy on a motorbike coming the other lost control and smacked the central barrier. Road was 50mph limit, he was doing well in excess of that. He came to rest in a heap about 20 metres from the first skid mark, his bike another 15/20 metres further on. No idea what caused it, all we saw was him wobbling and fighting to control the bike. Straight road, no other traffic involved.
Turned car round, wife being first aid trained got out and was first to get to him. Had to leave her and go get our son, fortunatly one of the other cars close behind was an off duty paramedic. 2 paramedics, one ambulance, 10 police cars, full road closure for the air ambulance helicopter to land and two hours later and we could get home but wife was shaken up after it all.
Since heard biker had no life threatening injuries but broken pelvis and badly broken legs..looks like lengthy hospital stay.
Not sure if we have any motorcyclists on here but if we do be sensible out there guys. Of the fair number of bikes I saw on the roads last night 90% of them are riding like idiots, doesn't take much or long to change a life!
