rFactor now available on Steam
Some good news for seasoned Steam users. rFactor is now available!
You can use your existing rfactor license and convert it to a Steam license, plus there's some other good features within the Steam version:
- Steam stats and achievements.
- Steam matchmaker and presence (join a friend's game, etc.).
- Steam Music Player (a car stereo).
- 4GB support. ("4GB Patch")
- Support for 6 controllers with 64 buttons (original had 3 controllers and 32 buttons).
- Fixed the number of pitstop counter.
- Added low FOV support (down to 10 degrees).
- Added support for setting FOV in car through configurable buttons.
The 4GB support is a good enough reason to add it on Steam, especially with our mods people have had issues in the past with running out of memory which the 4GB patch fixes. Having it already built in is a great advantage.
You can request your Steam license here (you will need your existing rF purchase info to do this):

Nope folder structure is identical. Only difference is it'll be located in Steam library directory instead, so just a case of redirecting Posy.

Any idea how it copes with multi installs?

Not yet, but apparently you can install mods into other GameData folders and give Steam another config file to run. I'll probably have a look at this myself over the weekend.
