BTCC 2014 B Round 10 Final

WSVR's BTCC 14B final will take place on the Donington National layout not GP as shown below. Event will be run to standard BTCC format and league rules.

Not sure if I`ve missed something, as I`m not that familiar with this forum setup, but am i able to join this one as a back marker as i can`t see that many other events for me to join?

I understand that I wont be racing up front, even if i have the pace, as it would be unfair of me to do so in my first race that is also the final race of a season.

Yes you can join Kris...used one of the default BTCC cars in the mod. Have you found the POSY tool for downloading yet.

Yeah I got a fresh Lite install done last night and added a bunch of sounds/cars/track from the ISI website.

PoSy installed no issues and I used it to grab the plugin and the BTCC mod. Although I had to install Java to get it to work, eurgh!

I was going to grab them all, but it took long enough for BTCC to download and I was getting impatient lol

BTCC is fine now Kris, the other mods are mostly retired now although we do have one GT round to re-schedule

Just had a go of the mod and it seems quite good.

I`m not hearing any tyre sounds though, so is that a mod thing or my rF Lite install?

EDIT - Sorry, just checked whwre it's calling the sound files from and i don't have GameData\Sounds\WSVRBTCC\Car folder where all the impact and skid sounds are called from?

Kris, looks like that folder was missing from the POSY server. I have added it in so try running the update again

Gutted, i was just getting used to these cars too (well, the Focus at least)!

We will have another season on rf1 next year, together with more rf2 events.

Maybe youve time for our VRX Christmas event next week?

Well done to everyone for a great final round, congrats to the champions... Tony you mounted a great challenge more race wins than anyone else and highest placed single car team.

Roy and I would have loved to have made it a four way fight but was not to be. My car was great in practice but awful in race..really not sure why.

Congrats also to Dene on first BTCC win

Was a great evening, I really forgot how much fun the BTCC is.... Shame that I hadnt the time to mix up the championship, but it was a pleasure to be at the final round.

Congrats both Chris and Tony for an awesome season, 6 points is nothing after 30 races.

Thanks chaps, Tony came on really strong in the 2nd half of the season and was difficult to catch towards the end! Was also nice to see the likes of Matt, Roy and Jim towards the top going into the last round.

I'm sure 2015 will be even closer than this season on both rF1 and rF2!

This is definitely the place to be if you want good close fair racing.

Had some fantastic races, would love to have won and did everything I could so concrats to Chris.

Can't remember a finish to a 30 race season as good as this one, 5 of us still in with a chance of winning the championship on the way to Donnington, and I'm sure there would have been more if everyone could make all the meetings, we have plenty of fast drivers here

Bring on the next season, I think it will be closer still
