Hi,

I’m Adrian Bullock, 27 from Norfolk. I haven’t done much online racing, only really Gran Turismo 5 but I really enjoy simulations and like a challenge.

I’m a big fan of F1, WEC & BTCC. Snetterton is my home track! And I do a few track days a year.

Looking forward to the challenge of trying to keep up with you guys!

Thanks
Adrian

Hello Adrian and Welcome to WSVR,

You're now granted a C License to be able to race in our Sunday BTC cup series and our fun events.

If you wish to race our premier BTCC or World Super Touring championships, then join us for the BTC cup/fun events and as long as the admins are happy with your good racing conduct over a few events (more important than speed) then you'll get access to the full series races. Were all about enjoyable clean fun racing here rather that win at all cost attitudes, i hope you'll understand the need for a structured joining process and driver vetting.

In the meantime feel free to browse the forums or ask any questions if needed.

Cheers, Mike

Hi Adrian

Welcome to the community. Snetterton isn't that far for me but not been ther for years. Rockingham is just down the road now Smile

Don't worry about online experience, you'll find it far more civilsed here than any GT5 online race Smile

Thanks for the welcome Smile

I definitely understand the need for driver vetting, infact it’s one of the reasons I joined up!

Just ordered a Logitech G25 as my current wheel just decided to die yesterday, brilliant timing Sad

You should try Snetterton again, its a lot more fun now they added the infield section.

Thanks
Adrian

Depends on your budget Adrian, You can spend silly money on some wheels.

Personally i have this one as do a few other guys.. its spot on for me.

Thanks, does it have PC drivers?

I was looking at a Thrustmaster T500RS, looks pretty big though. Not sure it would fit on the desk.

Adrian

I've recently bought a Fanatec Forza Motorsport CSR - cost about £180 and it is well worth it. (that is just for the wheel though... I'm using my G25 pedals with it)

I used to have a G25 which lasted a good 5 years before it lost all force feedback in the centre. I always found lack of buttons on the G25 to be a bad thing - 2 + 2 paddles is very limiting. Now I've got plenty of buttons on the CSR I find life much, much easier!

If you're on a budget then the DFGT will do you well. Smile

Personally I wouldn't buy a 2nd hand G25 - the leather on my old one is pretty worn. It has FFB issues, right paddle has lost all of it's 'feel' and also the shifter is completely knackered.

TS is only usually active on race nights Adrian. Were on a week off next week, next BTC cup race is Sunday 9th June.

Somebody may run a fun race night next Friday..if anyone wants to set something up then just let an admin know.

I might, mostly depends on work - I might be getting sent off to London again, but should have it confirmed tomorrow.
