Anybody here have it yet?

I downloaded the Clio mod last night (been waiting 6 months for it!) and had some epic races on it today. Including starting 26th on the grid and finishing 3rd on a public server. Absolute blast! The Meganes aren't half bad either.

rF2 was missing a front wheel drive car badly. Now it has one! Very Happy

How does it chew on computer set-ups??

Is rFactor2 graphic heavy?

Not really, I have everything on maximum at 1920x1080 on a Core i5 2500k and an ageing GTX260 at around 50-60fps. If you can run rFactor at medium settings you should have no issues with rF2.

Right, Ive taken the plunge and got the rfactor 2 beta.

Cars feel great to drive although harder to get up to speed initially... practice Wink being used to running rfactor in full graphics settings came as a bit of a shock, first time my Nvidia 9800Gt has been felt to feel old.

Otherwise whilst its still WIP, it feels comfortable, solid and full of potential. Not got the graphics advances as some newer stuff but its a good base.

Still interested to see how GTR3 progresses (sound engine is sounding superb) and Assetto Corsa

Having done a bit more driving on rfactor2, i cant fault the way it drives and handles.

However although its still a beta i cant get over the fact that graphically its very poor for a product that comes 6 years after the original. Needs a significant step up to make the current grade.

If GTR3 or Asseto Corsa deliver driving as good as Rfctor2 currently manages and the open mod-ability they promise, then I cant help but feel that they will surge forward in popularity.

Something tells me it'll be Tom Onslow-Cole's VW Passat... Mostly because of his sponsored Clio Cup which is running on rFactor.
