Re: R3E DTM 2014
I just jumped straight in the car and drove it so the driving is a bit iffy.

Re: R3E DTM 2014
Its hard to say just yet, i haven't really tried to set things up too much but first impressions are quite good. With no aids the cars are quite twitchy but not too hard to drive, it looks nice and as in the clip which was sunset there are four settings, sunrise, morning, afternoon and sunset. There are plenty of options to help with setting the game up most importantly controller settings, possibly more settings than rfactor has, getting my wheel to feel just right is so important to me, and just playing around with some of the settings it made a big difference with how the cars feel to drive. You have the options of just jumping on the grid and racing or a full DTM weekend including practice and full qualifying rules, you can race with or without pit stops and there are prime and option tyres, and you also have DRS. There is of course multiplayer which i have not tried yet. The AI are quite handy too and dont seem to just punt you off the track or pretend your not there like most AI do, they are not perfect but a decent challenge. The sounds a really good in both driving and replays, and talking about replays it does have a great replay system, you can save whole races and watch them back via the games media center, the same with screenshots, if you crash out of a race you can use the monitor option to watch the race live and scroll through to any car and any camera.
All in all it offers quite a lot and i am sure will get some good reviews and prolly some not so good reviews, i am glad i decided to buy it, its a very nice game, its as easy or difficult as you want it to be and that i think is important, sometimes i just want to throw a car round a track for fun but still want a challenge when i need one.

Re: R3E DTM 2014
Good review Neil, I hadnt the time to test it right now, hopefully at the weekend. I remember that I really liked the sound in 2013.
Dont know the price for you guys, in germany its 25,99€. If you own some of the tracks already (because you have DTM 2013 or other stuff) price could be lower, I payed only 12,49€.
