STC - Super Touring classic round 2 - Mainz Finthen Round_2_mainz


All events will run with these rules:
- C License needed, you can get your B License by racing at least 2 STC events
- extra weights as in the BTCC (5, 15, 25, 35 and 45kg for the top 5 drivers)
- Points as in the BTCC
- 15 min Qualify, 2 Races each ~30 min
- second race of each event will start with reversed grid, based on results of the first race
- 1 Pitstop is needed because a full tank allows only to do ~70% race distance, with the long living tires you have many options on your strategy.

Update: Watch out for the tyre stacks around the track, the red ones are statics!

- Quali start at 21:00 UK / 22:00 CET (15 min) Extra weights for the top 5 of the championship
- 10 min break
- race 1, 32 laps +1 formation. 1 Pitstop needed! Extra weights for the top 5 of the championship
- 10 min break
- race 2, 32 laps +1 formation. 1 Pitstop needed! Extra weights for the top 5 of race 1. Full reversed grid based on results of race 1

Another great night of close racing has gone with the STCs at the airfield Mainz Finthen. Again the top drivers seperated by hundreds of a second in the qualify, but it was Chris English who secured the pole.
Race 1: The lights have gone green very fast, and it was Michael Pitschmann who took the lead at the first corner, followed by Chris English and the complete pack. Some little mistakes and pitstops later it was Rob Mason who won the first race of the evening, very close in front of Robert Rec.
Race 2 was even close. The field started complete reversed, and the top 5 got their extra weights too. After a long battle and totally mixed pitstop strategies it was Michael Pitschmann who did his first victory in the STC 2014, followed by Championship leader Jan Titz and Chris Braam.

Next round will bring the pack to Monaco at 28th march. See you all there again!

had a fun night, decent qual for a change meant starting 7th, then bit of a mixed race stop go for speeding during pit stop & then a late visit after a brush with the concrete tyres meant a 10th place finish.

Started race 2 in 7th and had a great start getting to 2nd for a few corners, eventually dropped back after more tyre contact. battled for about 3/4 of the race with Robert Rec. great fun & finished 6th  cheers

Sorry i had to, leave event. in race 1 i had a big crash at the shicane and then phone ringed, friend come home from Italy and i had to go. Didnt wana interupt you with chat during the race 1. i had enjoyed the qualy an the race one, until i made a mistake and crash my Mondeo. it looks like a datsun after that hit in the static tires Very Happy

Looking forward for the next one, see you all good guys in Monaco Smile
