Hello From Across The Pond

Hello All:

Name is Ken Rodriguez, 44 years. I currently live in New York, U.S.A.

I've been sim-racing nearly 7 years now. The first 6 of those years has been offline. I've been league racing with GTR2 and rFactor for about a year now and have tons of fun while online making new friends and long lasting friendships.

My favorite forms of auto sport are the BTCC and FIA GT racing. The FIA WEC is also amongst my favorite sports to watch. Unfortunately, there are no broadcasts here in the states for the FIA series' so I catch most of the races on YouTube afterwards. I Still get the same great coverage however and mostly commercial and advertisement free.   

I look forward to forging new bonds with this group of racers here.

Hi Ken and welcome

Hope you find the community here that you indicate your looking for. We have a broad age range here and a good bias to those of us with a few more years under our belt than you usual range of young hotshots you see in other leagues.

We do have members from US and Canada, whether our Friday night events will suit you time wise we'll have to see. Normally a 9pm start (UK time) to fit in with our larger proportion of UK and European members. We do have Sunday events also whic may suit you ideally too.

You're now granted a C License to be able to race in our Sunday BTC cup series, fun events and our 2014 WEC in GT class.

If you wish to race our premier BTCC or prototype cars in WEC then join us for the BTC cup/fun events and as long as the admins are happy with your good racing conduct over a few events (more important than speed) then you'll get a B license and access to the full series races. Were all about enjoyable clean fun racing here rather that win at all cost attitudes, i hope you'll understand the need for a structured joining process and driver vetting.

In the meantime feel free to browse the forums or ask any questions if needed.

I sincerely appreciate the welcome Matt. Thanks for the info. I will be perusing the site to gather more info and should I have questions, I will be certain to post them.
