Re: Bret Metcalf-New member
Hi Bret, welcome to our league.
You'll be our second South African member (3rd if Brandon has anything to say about his roots ). Sadly we've already run Kyalami this season so you'll have to miss your home round this season.
If you have any issues with the downloads or questions please feel free to shout. We also have a facebook page which has some further discussions that don't alway make it here. Link can be found on the website.
Be sure to test the server connection as we use Hamachi VPN to host our races. if you have any issues then just let me know ahead of joining out next round at Norisring if you can make it.
Regards
Matt

Re: Bret Metcalf-New member
Thanks for the welcome
Yep-did that earlier today-all is working fine-thanks.
I do have one question and that is in terms of the number of race laps for the 3 races (apologies if it is staring me in the face on the forum but I have not seen it)
Even though on race night the time here will be 23:30 at least I don’t have work the next day (when GMT changes again it will be better)
I saw your advert on the ISI forum which prompted to come have a look, I liked what I saw. Noted also your league is new so I wish you all the best and hope it works out, it demands a lot of time, patience and effort to build up a new league and once that is achieved its even more of a challenge to keep it there.
Regards,
Bret

Re: Bret Metcalf-New member
Quite a lot of us here used to race in an American based league so the later time was a factor for Alex (our other SA member) and us UK guys also at time of the year. That was Saturdays too. Fridays seem to work better.
With regards to race length it varies from track to track but we aim for around 3x 15 - 20 min race length. with 20 min practice, 10 min qual and short breaks so around a 1.5 to 2 hour max event length.
And yep we are new but we've been around for about 8 months now just doing casual races etc. A lot of us had already left the aforementioned league because it was hugely time intensive to participate and be competitive. Our aim here is to allow people to compete without lots of effort hence easy to setup cars and drive cars, success ballast system to even the field and great community involvement.
